Everything starts with ties.

In 1967, the born in Bronx Ralph Lifshitz created a line of handmade ties under the name Polo. This was the beginning of the brand Polo Ralph Lauren, which became popular very quickly. The following year, Lauren, under which name the designer was known, debuted with its first collection of men’s apparel. The next step is the opening of a store in Bloomingsdale. The emblematic Polo logo was created in 1971, embroidered on the cuff of a series of women’s shirts. Two decades later, the other iconic logo came to light.

The brands compelled cinema, when it dressed Robert Redfrod in The Great Getsby, Diane Keaton in Annie Hall and Gwyneth Paltrow on the night when she wins Oscar for her role in Shakespeare in Love.

Polo Ralph Lauren gripped sport as it became the official brand, dressing the sportsmen in Wimbledon championship. It created collections for the Olympics in 2008 and 2018.

From receiving a series of awards to opening restaurants of the same name to the campaign for the fight against cancer and the iconic T-shirt exhibited at MoMa in 2017, the premium brand is establishing itself as a leader not only in the fashion business.

Ralph Lauren is the personification of the American dream come true, realizing it in all aspects of his life: from the catwalks showing classy and stylish collections, through his entry into the world of cinema, sports and cuisine, to the social responsibility he undertakes with his charity activity.
